OGINO KNAUSS was born as “mutant cinema laboratory” and it has been drifting constantly through audio-visual languages and communication practices. It focuses on the globalizing urban landscape, applying image production techniques to develop innovative listening and description practices about cultural urban processes. Ogino Knauss is now running the Re:centering Periphery multiformat documentary project, aimed at exploring diverse local incarnations of modern peripheries. Among its video-projects are EUR–Extreme Urban Ratio (Florence, 2001), Doble Forza (Havana, 2008) and Dom Novogo Byta (Moscow, 2013). Manuela Conti, Laura Colini and Lorenzo Tripodi are the Ogino Knauss’ members participating in the TRANSEUROPA Festival, with their new project “Exercises in Urban Reconnaissance”.
